Media Library Exporter

This is a tool to export your windows media library metadata to an XML file. It supports all types of media, and allows you to filter the library to filter out categories such as photos, audio, and video. It supports two types of export – exporting to the same format as iTunes exports to (in which case, only supported metadata will be exported), or to an XML file with the full list of metadata. In the latter case can export every metadata property, including play count, last play date, and star ratings. It does not export playlists or smart playlists from your library, only info about songs, videos, and photographs.

To run this program, it is necessary to have the .NET Framework, version 2.0, from Microsoft. This should already be installed, but if it's not, here's a link to the latest version of the .NET Framework (this will install version 2.0, too). If you want a smaller download and a quicker install, you can get just version 2.0.

You are free to do whatever you like with the source code.
